BEIJING — With the flu season approaching, Beijing Edencare Hospital confirms that its supply of 2026 seasonal influenza vaccines has arrived, and vaccination appointments are now open. Annual influenza vaccination remains one of the most practical ways to reduce the risk of seasonal flu and its complications.
Three Approved Trivalent Vaccines Available
In line with nationally approved vaccine marketing authorizations, the hospital offers three trivalent influenza vaccines this season, covering different age groups:
Sanofi trivalent influenza split-virus vaccine — a classic split-virus preparation for people who meet the conditions described in its package insert.
Zhonghui Yuantong trivalent influenza subunit vaccine — an inactivated influenza vaccine further purified on the basis of split-virus technology.
Hualan Biological trivalent influenza split-virus vaccine — available in specifications for different age stages, including products for children aged 6–35 months and for people aged 3 years and above.
What to Tell Medical Staff on Vaccination Day
To help ensure a safe vaccination, please inform medical staff at registration if any of the following applies to you or your child:
- A history of severe allergic reaction to any component of influenza vaccines.
- Currently in an acute fever phase.
- An acute flare-up of a chronic condition.
- An unusual reaction after a previous vaccination.
- Currently receiving immunosuppressive therapy or related medications.
- Recent use of other medicines or biological products.
Medical staff will assess each person's suitability for vaccination on the day. After vaccination, a 30-minute observation period in the designated area is required before leaving the hospital.
